Picked up my pre-order pack today form a GAME store here in the UK while pre-ordering the CE.

Much better than the factions fiasco i had there, guess the hour of complaining i did last time round made them buck their idea's up.

Last time round they tried to charge £10 for the pre-order pack and when i went to pick up my CE they seid they had no record of the pre-order and i had to phone their head office and pay the full cost for the factions CE, (thus loosing my deposit). so i ended up ordering it from ebay for £15 cheaper

...Hopefully when i go to pick up this CE they won't try any more funny buisiness.

Ok here in Ireland I was able to pick up mine From Game (I had to wait while they unpacked them as they had only just arvied when I got to the shop)

But I am slightly concerned that after adding my Nightfall bonus key nothing is showing up in my activated key list

As long as they key went through and you didn't get a message like the key's already in use; you're fine. It'll pop up when it gets closer to the world preview event.

I had the same problem. But if you type /bonusitems you will get them.

It only does not show up in the key list but it seems to work fine.

Went into my local GAME on my way into work this morning. Fortunately, the staff they employ there aren't a complete bunch of technophobes, so my question of whether they had the 'Guild Wars Nightfall Prerelease Pack' wasn't greeted with a blank stare. Unfortunately, that didn't mean they had it in either...

For everyone in general - thanks a lot for your reports. I'd love them even more if they had locations (I know Brighton is distinctly lacking in packs, as I've just wandered around there myself).

One per account only, and it will only become available when you add a full Nightfall access key to your account.

it's all gone tits up lol I bought the pre order bonus pack for £1.99 from game, got home started up guild wars and tried to add the key to my account. I got a nice message:

I have prophecies, pre order for factions and factions CE on my account why wont it let me add the nightfall pre release bonus pack key???

Yes let me explain. I must admit this is a bit confusing..... You can do 2 to things.

1-Add your pre-package key now to your account and get that strange message (That message occurs cause it doesnt detect the full nightfall version). At the time you got the full version add the fullversion Nightfall key, unlock the items + extra slot yourself or this will go automatic. (dunno about that, guess it'll go automatic)

2-Add the pre-package key after you added your full version nightfall key (which you cant do now obviously doh, 27 okt) When you do this you will be able to unlock the weapons and the extra character slot or this will go automatic.... i dunno

p.s: The message tells you that you cant add the key, actually you just did and you wont be able to do it again cause than it'll say "already in use". So you actually did succeed at adding your key but gw tells you the other way around only cause it didnt detect the full version of nightfall, and to USE the extra slot + 2 bonus weapons you need Nightfall full version.

hope this will clear things up.

FYI, Alex, not only Brighton, but East Sussex in general is terrible like that - No pre-release packs in Hastings at all as per 1:00 GMT - most of the games shops dont even stock PC games any more...

Personally, I blame everything on the 'RPG-phobic' culture in britain at the moment, which in turn, is the fault of certain magazines written by a publisher who I shall only refer to as FP

I went into game in edgware, london and got the pre-release and £2 off the normal perchace, he told me that they get deliveries after 1.30 in the afternoon, so i would go back and check at the other branches and see if they have it in now, ask them to check the list of new games for the week, its on there.

thanks for the information how ever i just tried to re-add the key and i still get the same message, not the already in use message.... oh fiddlesticks lol Guess i will just have to wait till nightfall is out and try adding them both then

Turns out GAME in Brighton does (or did) have copies. Make sure to ask the staff to check new stock, it may just be that stores have not yet got them on display.

Alex, could you maybe clarify on the significance of the error many people get when adding the pre-release key to their current accounts ?

I talked to Gaile yesterday and she asked me to open a support ticket, but seeing now there are many other people having the same issues I would like some clarification maybe if this is or is not expected behaviour ?

Just a bit worried a lost 1 key now by adding it to my account yesterday

As in the account details screen it doesn't list the key , like with factions, and still does on the bonus items. Although I can use the bonus items in game (not that they do any good).

Just think it is weird that I am able to see the bonus items but not the key

and then the message I got stated that I already had the rights that key provided ?!

I ordered from http://www.gameplay.co.uk

Their web site indicated that the key would be sent out via email. I did not receive any email/key, so queried this with them today. This is the response I got. I am NOT a happy bunny...

Alex/NCSoft can you comment?

Helen: I have not received the bonus key yet
toonarmy: they are being sent out on monday
toonarmy: the offer is running for a limited time and the timer starts when you activate your code
toonarmy: ncsoft have had problems sending the codes out, both ourselves and game have had no codes from them and we will be sending them all out on monday
toonarmy: also, make sure you assign the code to your current ncsoft account if you have onbe
toonarmy: i appologise for the inconvienience caused but as per usuall, it is the game developers that fail to meet expectations
